Services for Sarah Williams Martin of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor and the Rev. Burns Willis will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are the Sue McTier Sunday School Class and the Thomasville Kiwanis Club. Mrs. Martin died Sept. 16, 2006 in Tallahassee. FL. Born June 19, 1929 in Calvary, GA she was the daughter of the late Charlie T. and Lillie Mae Bryant Williams. She was married to Samuel L. Martin who survives. Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Andrew College, Cuthbert, GA and a Lab Technologist for Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of Circle #1 and Sue McTier Sunday School Class. She was also a Food Bank Volunteer. Other survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Kay Hopkins, John W. and Evelyn Hopkins, daughter, Gale Hopkins all of Thomasville, step-son, Les Martin, Bangkok, Thailand; step-daughter, Sandrs Martin Smith of Quitman; grandchildren, Christopher Hopkins, Julia Hopkins, Nicholas Hopkins of Thomasville, step-grandchildren, Mat Teresa Smith, St. Augustine, FL, Ben Ansley Smith, Atlanta, GA, Lillian M. Jason Gilbert, West Palm Beach, FL, Brody Martin, and Leticia Martin, Honolulu, Hawaii; step-great grandchildren, Olivia Gilbert and Kaylee Smith; brother, Robert Earl Williams of Calvary, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Charanell and Wendell Larkins of Whigham, GA and sister-in-law Faye Farmer of Monticello; sister-in-law, Ruth M. Willett and brother-in-law, Jack Martin of Thomasville. Sisters, Lottie Arline and Alta W. Russ and brothers, Dr. Charlie L. Williams and J. T. Williams, preceded her in death.
