Graveside services for Scott Jason Milberg, 44 of Thomasville will be held at 11 am, Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Hebrew Cemetery on Vine @ Dawson Street. Rabbi Jack Romberg from the Temple Israel in Tallahassee will officiate. Mr. Milberg passed away May 30 at Archbold Hospital. Born July 8, 1971 in Thomasville, he is the son of Robert & Frances Bluestein Milberg of Thomasville. Scott graduated from Thomasville City Schools, and attended Tulane University, Thomas College and the University of Georgia. He received his banking and financial degree from Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking in March 2008. He has worked with Thomasville National Bank since 2008 as a Vice President/ Compliance Officer. He became the bank’s BSA Officer and continued to be the banks internal commercial real estate evaluator. He loved the game of golf and was a member of Glen Arven Country Club. He volunteered and participated in all sports and activities with his son. Scott volunteered in the community as chair of the Thomas County Public Library during their recent renovations; honorary chair for the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival, chair of the United Way and member of the Rotary Club of Thomasville. He is also survived by his son, Zachery (Zack) Milberg of Thomasville; brother, Michael Milberg and his wife Julie of Los Angeles, California; nieces, Langley and Bea; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and his adopted family at the bank and his son’s school.
