Seamus Bruce Smith, 50, of Ochlocknee, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, April 1, 2022. Most of his life was spent in Florida but he moved to Georgia about 5 years ago.
Shea was crazy smart, loved reading and music. He was kind to all humans and animals, though I think he preferred the latter (especially cats). Shea worked at Miss Kitty’s Feline Sanctuary in Thomasville. He would share whatever he had with a friend or a stranger Shea was so fun loving, positive, and grateful for everything in life no matter how insignificant it seemed.
Shea is preceded in death by his mother, Rosemarie (Dusti) Ridge. He leaves behind his father, Guy Ennis Smith, his sisters, Blaise Murphy and Johnna Shockey, his daughter, Courtney, granddaughter Willow, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Shea will be greatly missed by us all. Rest in Peace, dear Shea!
Shea will be laid to rest at his father’s family plot in Tampa
Broken Chain (sent by his Dad, Guy Smith)
We little knew that day that God
Was going to call your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our heart to lose you
but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you
that day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories
Your love is still our guide
And tho we cannot see you
Your always at our side
Our Family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again
