Sheryl Yvonne Chastain

Sheryl Yvonne Chastain, born on July 31, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 69. A dedicated lab technician, Sheryl spent many years contributing her skills in the microbiology lab at C.R. Bard. She was known for her diligent work ethic and her commitment to excellence in her field.

Sheryl cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Chastain Sr.; her son, Thomas Chastain Jr.; her daughters, Leslie Chastain and Thomisa Kendrick; and her siblings, Barbara Boatright, Donna Owen, and Wayne Taylor. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Dylan Plunket, Connor Plunket, Taylor Brooke Plunket, Gage Kendrick, Levi Kendrick, and Adalie Chastain.

Aside from her professional life, Sheryl had a passion for music and enjoyed sharing those moments with her family. She also had a particular fondness for shopping in thrift stores, often uncovering unique treasures that brought her joy. Her love for family gatherings created countless memorable moments that will forever resonate with her loved ones.

Sheryl Yvonne Chastain will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit and warmth will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Sheryl was preceded in death by: Charles Taylor, Bonnie Taylor, Terry Taylor, and David Taylor.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2 pm at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
