Shirley Ann Bernstein

Services for Shirley Ann Bernstein were held graveside at 10 AM Monday, July 3, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Kelly Anderson officiating. Shirley passed away on June 30, 2023, at her residence in Coolidge. Shirley was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on December 11, 1936, to the late Della Mae Tackette and Arthur Barnes. She worked as a florist manager at Winn Dixie and attended the Coolidge Church of God, which she loved dearly. Shirley was a trained classical ballerina and enjoyed arts and crafts, going to the gym, and being a member of the National Rifle Association. Shirley is survived by grandchildren Amanda Miller, Michael Thomas Davis, and Angela Adcock; great-grandchildren Kamron Miller, Connor Miller, Deven Adcock, Lillie Adcock, and Ethan Adcock; and her dog Sugar Bump. She was preceded in death by husband Arnold Bernstein; daughter Krista Davis; granddaughter Shannon Adcock; and sisters Velda Phillips and Geneva Fitzwater. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas County Humane Society.
