Shirley E. Lynn passed into Heaven's gates on September 2, 2014. She was born on December 16, 1919 in Petaluma, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lynn Sr, and her brother Johnny who was a pilot shot down on his 25th mission in Normandy. She is survived by her son, Robert Lynn II, daughter-in-law, Judith B. Lynn, six Lynn grandchildren, Robert III, Shawn, Vernon, Brigitte, Vincent and Judy Christin; 15 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was of Cherokee Nation heritage and grew up a lover of the land, gardening and painting. She was a recognized landscape artist in her area and dabbled with oil on canvas paintings into her 80s. She came to the south GA community in 2007 and we thank all of the staff at Camellia Gardens, including Vicki Cooper, nursing and therapy for the loving care and support they provided her. This truly is the premier provider of care in the area. We thank Dr. Hehn, Dr. Fenlon, Dr. Saunders & Dr. Szwarc for the medical care and attention they provided to her over the years. We felt that you all were an extension of our family for the way you embraced her and cared for her. Services will be at a later date in Hughson, CA at Lakewood Cemetery.
