Shirley Strozier

Graveside services for Shirley Strozier, 95, of Thomasville will be 10:00AM, Friday, June 19, 2015 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on 12th Street. Rev. Mitch Clements will officiate. Mrs. Strozier passed away on June 15, 2015 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born June 2, 1920 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Maggie Thornton. She was married on November 3, 1938 to James Strozier, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Strozier was on the Methodist Faith. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Sarah and Lauren Simmons of Minnesota, Phyllis and Edwin Mercer of Coolidge, and Ruth Elaine and Isa Mufareh of Maryland; son Jimmy F. and Sharon Strozier of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
