Shirley Brown Swords

Funeral services for Shirley Marie Brown Swords, 79, of Norman Park, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Holland will officiate and interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Swords passed away February 20, 2019 at her residence. Born July 29, 1939 in Lansing, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William Price Brown Jr. and Mae Shirley Brown. She was married to Alfred L. Swords, who survives. Mrs. Swords retired from Coats & Clarks as a spinner and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Other survivors include son, Billy Swords and wife Brenda of Norman Park; daughter, Kathy Swords of Thomasville; grandchildren, Brian & Amber Swords, Tiffany & Ryan Hurst, Kevin & Skylar Swords, Brandon & Ashley Swords and Caitlyn & Jeremy Hatcher; several great-grandchildren and brother, Bob Brown of Merryville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Swords; daughter, Delma Marie Swords and brother, Bill Brown. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
