Graveside services for Sophia (Sophie) Mary Davis Fulford, 95, Florida will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery at 2:00pm on Thursday, December, 29, 2016. Ms, Fulford, passed away Sunday December 25, 2016, in Jacksonville, FL. Sophie was born May 7, 1921 in Ypsilanti, ND, the daughter of Charles and Elsa Daede Davis. She was a homemaker, secretary, and nursing assistant in Coral Gables, Florida. Sophie was an expert seamstress and knitter, enjoyed growing orchids, and she played bridge and took dance classes at the Coral Gables Women’s Club. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family shopping, fishing and cooking. She is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, James, Etheline, Agnes, and Charles, and the father of her children, Charles Stanford Fulford. Cherished memories of Sophie will be carried on by her son, Paul (Robin) Fulford of Huntsville, AL, daughter, Pamela Frazier of Atlantic Beach, FL, son, James (Shellie) Fulford of Miami Beach, FL, and daughter, Julie Fulford of Tallahassee, FL, grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Jessica, Weston, Casey, Melissa, Charles, Jill, and Rebecca, and great grandchildren, Will, Miles, and Julian.
