Funeral services for Stephen Hunter Hancock will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at Pine Park Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Wooten and special friend, Steven Carter officiating. Private interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Whigham. Mr. Hancock passed away on Saturday January 13, 2018 in Valdosta, Ga. Born on September 8, 1992 in Cairo, he was the son of Stephen A. Hancock and Patsy McCorkle Hancock who survive. Hunter attended LSU before graduating from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was currently working with Lummus Corporation in Savannah, Ga. and was a member of Camilla United Methodist Church. Hunter was a motorcycle enthusiast, an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to cook. He was a loving son, caring brother, and loved his family and was always willing to help anyone when called upon. Survivors include his parents Stephen A. and Patsy McCorkle Hancock of Camilla; brother Patrick C. Hancock of Camilla; grandparents Pauline McCorkle and Marvin L. Hancock both of Cairo; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Patrick McCorkle and grandmother Louise Hancock. His family will greet friends on Tuesday prior to the service at the church from 1:00 until 2:00PM.
