Susan Carson Groover

Services for Susan Leak Carson Groover, 86 of Boston will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Boston Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Phillips and Rev. Don West will officiate and interment will follow at Boston Cemetery. Mrs. Groover passed away March 23 at Camellia Gardens. Born August 10, 1930 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Harvey Carson, Jr and Louise Etheridge Carson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Moody Groover who passed away December 4, 1994 and sister and brother, Patti Jean Carson and Clarence Sonny Carson, III. Mrs. Groover was a member of Boston Baptist Church and attended Valdosta State University. She is survived by her son, James Groover, Jr and wife Debbie of Boston; grandson, Morgan Groover; brother, William E. Carson and wife Lucille of Boston; nieces and nephews, Betty Carson and David Streets, Bob & Rhonda Carson, Julie Carson and Scott Carson, Caroline Carson Ginn and Bryan Ginn, Cindy Carson Richards and John Richards, William E. Carson, Jr. and Tina Carson, Kim Carson Smith and Ches Smith, Danny Groover and Diann and Bob Kelley and numerous great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-6 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the funeral home.
