Susan Elizabeth Herin

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Hall Herin (73) of Ochlocknee and Thomasville GA. Susan passed peacefully at home on Sept 29, 2026 after battling cancer. Susan was born and raised in the Ochlocknee and Thomasville area and a graduate of Thomas County Central. She had a long career with Bellsouth and AT&T. She relocated to Albany in 1985 and then to Macon in 1988 where she met the love of her life, Kip Herin. They married in 1990 and after Kip’s passing in 2002 and her retirement in 2006, Susan moved back to Thomasville where she enjoyed a quiet life surrounded by friends, neighbors, family, and her little dog Jordie. Susan was a giving person, volunteering with Archbold for many years, taking care of her mother, enjoying family time, and supporting her favorite Christian organizations. She is preceded in death by her husband Kip Herin, father Ralph C Hall Sr, sister Gwen Snyder, brother Ralph C Hall Jr, and mother Elizabeth Grace Hall. She leaves behind a brother Larry Hall (Ginette), nieces and nephews Wendy Bennett (Michael), Stephanie Burkhart (Chris), Jennifer Bailey and step-son Tres Herin (Rhonda), among others, as well as several grand nieces, grand nephews, and step-granddaughters she enjoyed watching over. She was known as Aunt Susan to many in her circle and will be greatly missed. There will be a private family service held at the Ochlocknee First Baptist Church.
