Services for Sylvia Ervin Pierce of Coolidge, are at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Big Creek Baptist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Dr. Dewitt Rehberg and the Rev. Douglas Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Big Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Pierce died September 23, 2004 in Gainesville, Fl. Born April 9, 1926 in Jay, Fl. she was the daughter of the late Frank Ervin and Rosa Smith Crosby. On January 25, 1946 in Montgomery, AL., she married Carroll Roy Pierce who preceded her in death in 1992. She was a homemaker and a long time member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Harold Griner of Alachua, FL., granddaughters, Mariah Rose Griner and Alisa Griner. A sister Dorothy Shephard preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9PM on Friday.
