Teanna Gail Ponder

Teanna Gail Ponder, 49, of Cairo, Georgia, passed away on December 23, 2024. Born on March 31, 1975, in Garden City, Michigan, Teanna was the cherished daughter of Vicky Dukes and the late Glen Dukes.
Teanna was known for her selflessness and unwavering kindness. She dedicated her life to serving others, even during her own battles with illness. Above all, Teanna was a devoted wife and mother. Her heart was filled with love for her children, and she found immense joy in making them happy. Teanna embraced life with strength and independence, yet her gentle spirit and servant's heart touched the lives of many around her. A member of the Baptist faith, Teanna's faith guided her in all aspects of her life, providing strength and solace throughout her journey.
She is survived by her husband Charles Ponder; mother Vicky Dukes of Kentucky; children Paige Priest (Conner) of Bainbridge, Payton Ponder of Cairo, and step-daughter Alicia Cook (Matt) of Bainbridge; siblings Kelly Harrell (Shannon) of Whigham, Jason Dukes (J.J) of Kentucky, and Haliee Dukes (Jacob Buergey) of Kentucky; nieces Ariah Phillips (Chris Hurst) of Whigham, Katie Elkins, and Leighton Buergey of Kentucky.

Visitation will be held on December 26, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. The funeral service will follow on December 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM, also at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel with Reverend Ron McCaskill officiating. Teanna will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
