Teresa Lynn May

Teresa Lynn May, age 58, of Pavo passed away on July 2, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Hospital. She was born in Thomasville on January 27, 1965 to L. Winfred May and the late Edwena Johnson May. Teresa was a graduate of Thomas County Central High School and attended Victory Fellowship of Thomasville. She was employed for 21 years at Sunbelt Credit. Teresa enjoyed the water especially trips to Mexico Beach and Flint River. She also enjoyed mud bogging, games, pranks and singing. Above everything, Teresa loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by her children Brandon Lindsey of Tallahassee, Fl., Brice Gilmer of Pavo, Ga., Heather Maresa Strickland of Thomasville, Ga., and Scott Burton of Ochlocknee, Ga.; her father and step-mother L. Winfred and Frances May, of Thomasville, Ga.; grandchildren Kinsley Lynn Gilmer, Bryson Gilmer, and Brantley Gilmer; brother Kevin J. May (Dawn) of Portal, Ga.; and nephew Cameron May. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by grandparents Ruby and Cord Johnson, and Loyce and Lildine May.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Victory Fellowship Church with Pastor Jamie Nunnally officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Teresa's memory to Celebrate Recovery at Victory Fellowship of Thomasville.
