Teresa Webb Reichert

Services for Teresa Earle Webb Reichert, 71 of Thomasville will be held at 2PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Ms. Reichert passed away February 12, 2017 at her home. Born July 29, 1945 in Hopewell, Virginia; she was the daughter of the late Joseph Earl Webb and Viola Myrtle Long Webb. She graduated from Hopewell High School in 1963 where she served as head majorette. In 1967 she received a BS in music from Radford College in Radford, Virginia where she played the bagpipes in the Highlanders Band. She taught in Virginia and Georgia Schools for 7 years; she was a teller at Thomas County Federal for 5 years; she was Operations Manager for Faircloth Brothers Canada Dry Bottling Co. for 19 years and since 2000 she worked for Flowers Foods in Consumer Affairs. She was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church since 1997, where she served as their organist and was the director of the Handbell Choir. She also served as the pianist for the Thomasville Rotary Club for many years. Ms. Reichert loved her cat “Gremlin”, the mountains, waterfalls, and her grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Danica Willis (Ben) and Brittany Reichert; grandchildren, McKena Drew Willis, Benson Jacob Willis, and Raven Senclaire Willis; sister, Sandra W. (Sue) O’Connor of Hartfield, Virginia; nephew, Ryan O’Connor and wife Erin; nieces, Kathryn O’Connor and Shelley O’Connor; great nieces and nephews, Evan Joseph O’Connor, Catherine Mary O’Connor, Lily Teresa O’Connor, Emma Abigail O’Connor and Isabel Gomez.
