Terrell Addison Means Jr.

Terrell Addison Means, Jr.,age 81, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on September 21, 2026. Terry was born on March 13, 1945, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Terrell A. Means Sr. and Virginia Mayfield Means. Terry dedicated his life to his family, community, and career.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Terry had a deep appreciation for military life and carried the values he learned throughout his life. He embraced his role as a real estate broker with passion, working with Thomasville Real Estate Professionals, Inc., where he thrived on meeting new people and building lasting relationships.

Terry was an active member of Cornerstone Church of Christ for over 45 years. He gave freely of his time, his heart, and his hands, always with a gentle spirit and without seeking recognition; his kindness became part of the fabric of the community he loved. Terry loved gardening, particularly cultivating fruit trees, and found joy in the outdoors through activities such as fishing, canoeing, and camping with his family. His enthusiasm for life extended to photography, capturing the beauty of nature, and exploring genealogy. He took great joy in planning family reunions for many years.

For over 40 years, Terry volunteered for the Rose City Run, showcasing his commitment to serving his community. He was known for his personable nature, wit, and his gift for storytelling, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew him.

Terry is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Rosa Reyes Means; daughter Cristina Bearden (Jeremy) of Thomasville, Ga; siblings Wayne Means (Rita) of Waverly Hall, Ga; Betty Hodges (Bill) of Doraville, Ga; and Danny Means (Melanie) of Midland, GA, followed by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his youngest sister, Robin Means.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 5-7 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. A service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11 am at Cornerstone Church of Christ with Jason Bennett officiating. Terry will be laid to rest at Tallahassee National Cemetery on October 5 at 12 pm.
