Services for Terry Miles Beatty, 60 of Boston are 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Barwick Baptist Church. The Rev. Elbert Channell will officiate and interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Beatty died September 28, 2008 at his residence. Born November 15, 1947 in Fulton, Co, he was the son of Truitt Miles Beatty, who survives and the late Sarah Bishop Beatty. Mr. Beatty was a Vietnam Veteran and a retired salesman. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He had a very kind and gentle heart and family was very important to him. Survivors include, daughter, Marie Beatty of California, father and step-mother, Truitt Miles & Evelyn Beatty of Boston, brother Fred Beatty of Jacksonville, FL, sisters, Kathy Beatty Pike of Jacksonville, FL, Janet Beatty Sauls of Boston, sister & brother-in-law, Tammy Beatty Clark & LeDon Clark of Boston, nephews, Ryan Pike, Cory Pike and Jeremy Pike, all of Jacksonville, FL, Max Beatty of Jacksonville, FL, Tanner Sauls of Boston, nieces, Courtney Clark Fiveash and husband Kyle of Thomasville, Kendall Clark, Jenna Clark, Kaitlyn Mitchell all of Boston, special uncle and aunt, Bruce & Nancy Smith of Rocky Mount, NC, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and great nephews. He was preceded in death by uncles, Jack Beatty, Kenneth Beatty and aunt, Emily Pennington. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
