Memorial services for Terry Rouse will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Dawson Street Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Waller officiating. HIs family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00AM in the sanctuary. Terry peacefully passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at his residence with Rhetta by his side. A life-long resident of Thomasville, he attended Birdwood College, which is now Thomas University, and was on the first basketball team, he was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a B.S. degree and major in accounting working with Davis Water & Waste from 1966-2005 before retiring from Wilo Manufacturing as President and CEO. After retirement, he obtained his EA (Enrolled Agent) designation which authorized him to practice before the IRS and was a Professional Partner with Raymond James providing tax planning and advisory services to individuals and small businesses. Being very active in the community he was involved with the local YMCA where he was Past Chairman of the Board of Directors along with coaching youth football, baseball, and basketball for several years. He was a Past Board Member of the Chamber of Commerce, elected member of the Board of Trustees at Thomas University in 2013 serving as Chair on Institutional Advancement and properties and facilities committee, Past District Governor and Council Chair for Lions International of Georgia, Past President of the Rotary Club of Thomasville, Past Public Image Director Rotary District 6900, Assistant Governor Rotary District 6900, District Service Chair and Board member of Georgia Laws of Life, he served as a commissioner on the planning & zoning board for the City of Thomasville, and was an active member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. His main interests included being with his wife, playing golf, camping, snow skiing, dancing, swimming, biking, walking, and reading. Terry is survived by his wife of 30 years Rhetta Rouse of Thomasville; daughter Jenny Rouse and partner Tim Hamil of Germany; extended family John Williams, Jr. of California; Janet Sheehan and husband Jeff of California; grandchildren Joe Williams, Jack Sheehan, and Emily Sheehan; brother Larry Rouse and wife Sandy of Vermont.
