Born June 7, 1952 in Brooks Co., GA he was the son of the late Thaxton E. Shelley, Sr. and Martha Jane Boyd Shelley. Mr. Shelley was a Bail Bondsman. Survivors include his son, Thaxton Shelley, III, daughters, Kristen Clark, Karen Hammond all of Thomasville, brother, Don Shelley of Ashville, NC and numerous cousins.
