Graveside services for Thelma Marion Lewis, 88, of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Dan Spencer will officiate. Mrs. Lewis died October 16 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born September 24, 1921 in Ozark, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Velma and Walter Pritchett. She was married to Homer Willard Lewis who preceded her in death. Mrs. Lewis was a member of Morningside United Methodist Church and worked at the church from 1971-1989. She served as Director of Morningside Methodist Church Kindergarten and Day Care Center for 13 years. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Golden and husband Chuck of Cairo; four sons, Mike Bland Lewis and wife, Donna of Atlanta, David Lewis and wife, Kathy of Watkinsville, Dudley Lewis and wife, Anne of Thomasville and Larry Lewis of Slidell, LA. Mrs. Lewis is also survived by two brothers, Lomax Pritchett and wife, Laverne of Ozark, Ala. and Sam Pritchett and wife, Jean of Lithia, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Jason Lewis and wife, Chandra, Mark Lewis and wife, Jennifer, Jessica Cox and husband, Ed, Joshua Lewis, Jedd Lewis, Heather Lewis, Matthew Lewis and Chad Golden; 3 great-grandchildren, Katie Ann Lewis, Caleb Lewis and Madison Lewis. Memorials may be to First Baptist Church television ministry, 210 North Broad Street, Thomasville, Ga. 31792 or to Morningside United Methodist Church, 2007 Smith Ave., Thomasville, Ga. 31792. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, at Mrs. Lewis' home at 145 Dogwood Drive. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com
