Thilmon Lessie Vonier

Services for Thilmon Lessie Vonier, 82 of Pavo will be held 11AM, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Gardner and Dr. Jimmy Clanton officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery. Mr. Vonier passed away October 25, 2016 at Camellia Gardens. Born July 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Hugh & Rachael Cone Vonier and Lessie Mae Gandy Vonier. He was married to Evie Carolyn Sherrod Vonier for 61 years who survives. He was a bi-vocational pastor and farmer. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a member of the Thomasville Masonic Lodge # 369. Other survivors include son Zippy Thilmon Vonier and wife B.J. of Thomasville and daughter Teresa Clark and husband Mark of Boston; grandchildren Kristi Vonier Dowdy (Russell), Kevin Vonier, Rachael Clark Lackey (Ricky) and Matthew Clark; great grandchildren Ricky Lackey III, Rebecca Jane Lackey, Wesley Stephens, Hunter Stephens, Russ Dowdy, and Daniel Hugh Vonier; brother Ronald Vonier of Pavo; sister Margaret Sawada of Young Harris, Georgia and sister-in-law Bobbie Vonier. He was preceded in death by his bother Randall Vonier. The family would like to request an in lieu of flowers donation to be sent to a church of your choice. His family will receive friends Friday evening from 6PM – 8PM at the funeral home.
