Funeral services for Thomas Vinson Curtis, 81 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 16 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Allen and Vince Curtis will officiate. Mr. Curtis passed away June 13 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born October 5, 1934 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late V.V. Curtis and Ola Beverly Curtis. He was married to Janice Thursby Curtis, who survives. He was owner of Cairo Tire. Mr. Curtis was a great husband and father. He worked very hard to provide for his family. He was well known and had many friends in Thomas and Grady Counties. He loved to hunt, fish, wildlife and enjoyed the yearly trip to St. George Island with his family. He enjoyed gardening and showing his family how to garden. Other survivors include children, Jeannie Beverly Norton of Cairo and Vince Curtis and wife Deidra of Thomasville; grandchildren, Kody Norton (Brook Carter), Lyle Quattlebaum, Ashlyn Quattlebaum; great-grandchild, Knox Pierce Norton; sister, Virginia Creighton of Macon and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Helen Singletary. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Wednesday, June 15 at the funeral home.
