Services for Thomas Wood, 83, of Thomasville, will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, August 08, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Rev. Mike Nichols will officiate. Mr. Wood passed away on August 05, 2014. Born November 02, 1930 in Lloyd, FL, he was the son of the late George and Annie Bell Wood. Mr. Wood enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, country and blue grass music. He loved to tell jokes and enjoyed playing Santa Claus at Christmas. Most of all he loved his family. He was married to Frances Rose Gibson Wood, who survives. Other survivors include sons Thomas F. Wood and wife Angela, Terry E. Wood, Gary C. Wood all of Thomasville; daughter Sherrie Wood of Thomasville; stepson David Gibson of Ochlocknee; brothers Wilson Wood of Atlanta and Steven Wood; sisters Joanne Scarborough and Carolyn Davidson; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; mother of children Geneva Evans and grandmother of children Irene Manning.
