Services for Tom Jack Williams of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Friday, December 30, 2005 at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church where he was a charter member. The Rev. Dr. Don Prevatt and Brother Mitch Conner will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Ricky Duncan, Bruce Coffee, Randy Wilcox, Russell Tinsley, Sammy Harnevious and David Piland. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Willingham, Tim Hobbs, Frankie Gibbs and Jesse Day. Mr. Williams died December 27, 2005 at his residence. Born September 1, 1939 in Dixie, GA he was the son of the late Joseph Paul Williams and Mary Louise Williams. On November 23, 1958 in San Antonio, TX he married Josephine B. Williams who survives. He was a veteran in the United States Air Force and was a courtesy clerk for Harvey?s Supermarket. At Gatlin Creek Baptist Church he served as a deacon, Sunday School superintendent, church clerk, Sunday School teacher and historian. Other survivors include daughters, Sylvia A. Williams of Tallahassee, FL, Deborah W. Bufford of Thomasville, son and daughter-in-law, John D. Williams and Alane of Thomasville, daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Williams-Anderson and Robbie, grandchildren, Sherri Beeman and Chad, Ashley Williams, Nicole Piland, Jack Reed Anderson, Cole Anderson; great grandchildren, Kayln Drinkwater, Brice Beeman; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph F. and Vera Williams of Ochlocknee, GA. and several three nieces and two nephews. A brother, Jimmy Williams and a sister, Marjorie Louise Williams, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
