Funeral services for Tommy Dewayne Groves, 44, of Thomasville, is at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Buford Groves and the Rev. James Irions will officiate with interment in Big Creek Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are, Jody Long, Shannon Partain, Michael Long, Earl Peppers, Gary Groves and Eric Groves. Honorary Pallbearers are, Jessie Partain, Robert Partain, Jr., Brian Long, Robbie Groves, Jr. and Jason Groves. Mr. Groves died June 4, 2007 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born March 23, 1963 in Thomas County, he was the son of the late Gary Grady and Lois Christine Groves. Survivors include brothers, Buford Groves, Gary Groves, Ronnie Groves, Andrew Groves and Robbie Groves all of Thomasville and Charlie Bozeman and Alton Bozeman both of Cairo; and sisters, Barbara Peppers and Jeanette Long both of Thomasville and Betty Partain of Moultrie. Memorials may be made to Ione Freewill Baptist Church, 1712 Newton Rd., Thomasville, Ga. 31757. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel.
