Trudy Slappey

Memorial services for Marion Gertrude (Trudy) Slappey will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at Rose City Church of God with Rev. Gerald Horne officiating. Mrs. Slappey passed away on Sunday April 14, 2019 at her residence. Born on January 10, 1945 in Doerun, GA. she was the daughter of the late Jack Brown and Christine Crosby Brown. She faithfully attended Rose City Church of God. She was married to James Ervin Slappey who passed away on May 24, 2015. Survivors include her sister Gaynell Brown Kendall of Scottdale, GA; step-children James Ira Slappey of Albany, Wade Odell Slappey of Mobile, AL; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her step-daughter Hilda T. (Susie) Slappey; siblings Jackson Lavaughn Brown, Henry Lewis Brown, and Patricia Brown Kirksey.
