Truman Wallace Bussey, 70 of Thomasville, GA. died on April 9th at 7:00 P.M. at his home on Tuxedo Dr. Born in Columbus GA, December 30, 1937, he lived in Columbus until he married in 1957. He moved from Tallahassee FL to Thomasville in 1962, after attending FSU. He was a member of First Newark Baptist Church and an active member of the church choir. He loved music, fishing, and family events with his seven grandchildren. He loved watching college football and he spent time visiting and playing in a bluegrass and gospel band for the local Nursing homes. The Rev. Dr. Michael Keown and Rev. Billy Majors will officiate and the service that will be held at First Newark Baptist Church Friday 11, 2008 at 4:00 PM. Viewing will be at 3:00 PM.

Pallbearers are David and David Lee Bussey, Matthew Maddox, Jody McAdory, Dean Brogden, John Banister, Leslie McSwain, J.W Strickland, Malvin Brinson, and David Barber. Honorary Pallbearer is James Williams.

Survived by his wife, Jean Bussey, and children, Pamela Maddox, David Bussey and Sandra Bussey Barber. Grandchildren: David Lee Bussey, Jody McAdory, Matthew Maddox, Tyler Bussey, Sarah Maddox, Samuel Maddox, and Christopher Barber. Son-in-laws; Stan Maddox and David Barber and daughter-in-law, Eileen Bussey. Also, survived by brother-in-law, Gerald and Hazel Starling; brother, Roy Ellis Bussey, and sister, Joyce Bussey; along with special friend, Darlene, several nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
