Urell James Jordan

Services for Urell James Jordan of Thomasville are at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at First Newark Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Mike Keown and the Rev. Doug Halstead will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jordan died August 3 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born November 27, 1932 in Colquitt Co., GA he was the son of the late Robert and Mae Griffin Jordan. On February 10, 1959 in Brooks Co., GA he married Shirley Faye Bozeman Jordan who survives. Mr. Jordan worked part time at Golden Oil after retiring from Sunnyland. Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Charles Harding of Thomasville, son, Darryl Jordan of Leesburg, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Mary Beth Jordan of Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Ashley Jordan, Tyler Harding, Megan Harding, Taylor Jordan and Mallory Jordan. A brother, Bob Jordan and a sister, Geneva Williams, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
