Funeral services for Vera Godwin Hagan, 83 of Thomasville, are at 2:00 PM on Monday May 29, 2017 at Dawson St. Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born September 26, 1933 in Pelham, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Roy Godwin and Laura Akridge Pearce. She was married to the late David Hagan. She was the owner and manager of Hagan Personal Care Home. Mrs. Hagan was a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution and John B. Gordon Genealogical Society. Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Sandy and Don Cox of DE Ridder, LA, a granddaughter Misty Hunter and her husband Keith of Thomasville and 3 great grandchildren, Gage Mercer, Deonna Mercer and Jenah Mercer. Also surviving are a sister Vivian Stanaland and her husband John of Thomasville, 2 brothers Frankie Lee Pearce and Lavon Pearce both of Thomasville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vernice Hagan and brother in law Wilbur Hagan..
