Vera Louise Salvato

Memorial services for Vera Louise Salvato, 88, of Thomasville will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday March 14, 2012 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Father Mark N. Van Alstine will officiate. Mrs. Salvato died on March 10, 2012 at her home in Thomasville surrounded by family. Born July 31, 1923 in Flomaton, AL, she was the daughter of the late Archie Lee and Maggie Berlin Pitts. Since living in Thomasville, she enjoyed going to the senior center everyday where she had many good friends. She was a great cook, decorator and seamstress. Survivors include sons, Harry Dehnisch of Ft. Worth, TX, Donald Brown of Corpus Christi, TX, Steven Salvato of Greer, SC and daughters Cindy Inman of Thomasville and Angie Dieffenbach of Paris, KY. Also surviving is a brother O. L. Pitts of Ft. Worth, TX. Vera has 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
