Vera Singletary

Funeral services for Vera Singletary of Ochlocknee will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Allen Hartsfield officiating. Interment will be in Ochlocknee Cemetery. Mrs. Singletary died November 9, 2003 at Grady General Hospital. She was born on December 4, 1910 in Thomas County to the late Oscar Maddox and Charlie Miller Maddox. In September of 1928 she married Douglas Singletary who preceded her in death. Mrs. Singletary was a member of Bold Springs Methodist Church and a seamstress at Warner Brothers. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn S. Miller; grandson and wife James and Debra Hayes Miller; granddaughter Teresa Cone; granddaughter and husband Rita and Tom Jones; brother J.B. Maddox; great grandchildren Brenda Horton, Jason Cone, Joey Hurst, Brian Miller, Robbie McMullen, Brett Stewart, Didi Pratz, Sally Jones, and Betty Johnson; 4 great grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her brother Woodrow Maddox and sister Mary Rowland.
