Vera T Weeks

Vera T. Weeks, aged 91, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2025, in Thomasville, GA, where she spent many cherished years. Born on June 12, 1933, in Pavo, GA, Vera was the daughter of loving parents, Henry A and Ruby Vonier Thomas. On October 22, 1951 she married the love of her life, Lemuel E. Weeks. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with family, faith, and love.

Vera dedicated a significant part of her life to her career at Coats & Clark before retiring. She will be remembered for her talents in quilting, sewing, and cooking, as well as her love of gospel and bluegrass music. Above all, Vera treasured her family and her church community. She was a devout member of Rose City Church of God.

She is survived by her loving children: Brenda (David) Johnson, Janice Weeks, Michael (Teresa) Weeks, and Tracie Gibbs, all of Thomasville. Additionally, she is survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Vera was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and all of her siblings, Myrtle Watson, Elizabeth Thomas, Virginia Thompson, Dan Thomas, Junior Thomas, Hubert Thomas, and her twin, Verna Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at Rose City Church of God on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held from 10:00am-11:00am prior to the service. The ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Keith Gunter and Pastor Eric Wentz, who will lead the attendees in celebrating her life and legacy. A visitation will be held at Allen & Allen Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 5-7 pm.
