Vera Hayes Williams

Funeral services for Vera Olivia Hayes Williams, 84 of Ochlocknee will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Rev. Dennis Norman and Rev. Jason Morgan will officiate and interment will follow at Midway Cemetery. Ms. Williams passed away November 8, 2018 at her residence. Born March 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Leon Dennis Hayes and Annie Margaret Peek Hayes. She was a 1953 graduate of Ochlocknee High School. On February 25, 1955 she married her late husband of 59 years, Joseph F. Williams. She enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful roses and the years she spent on her farm. She is survived by her brother, Charles Hayes of Palm Coast, Florida; nieces, Deborah Hayes and husband James Miller and Kim Hayes Hammond and husband Brian; nephews, Bruce Hayes and wife Topreka and Mark Hayes and wife Charlotte; great-niece, Raine Hayes; great-nephews, Brett Stewart and wife Chancley, Trevor Hayes, Kyle Hayes, Scott Hammond and Jake Hammond; great great-niece, Sarah Stewart and sister-in-law, Carol King Hayes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Herbert Hayes, infant sister, Naomi, sister-in-law, Carol Ann Hayes and nephews, David and Gary Hayes.
