Vernon Carter

Vernon Carter, affectionately known as “Bubba” to all of his family and friends, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at Archbold Living Care, surrounded by the loving care of Archbold Hospice, following a lengthy illness. Born on December 31, 1946, in Thomasville, GA, Vernon was a devoted worker at the Thomas Grady Service Center, where he spent many years working happily.

As the last surviving sibling in a family of seven, Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson and Louise Carter, as well as his brothers Robert, Dallas, and Billy Carter, and his sisters Francis Carter, Donnis Meades, and Martha Pyle. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who fondly remember his gentle spirit and unwavering love for the Lord. Many have fond memories of Vernon's joyful moments spent rocking and singing to his Savior.
