Services for Vernon Harold NeSmith of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev. Keith Hill and Rev. Allan McNabb will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason NeSmith, D. L. Scoggins, Dayne Parramore, David Moncrief, Robin NeSmith and Matthew NeSmith. Mr. NeSmith died January 12, 2004 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born November 27, 1929 in Thomas Co., Ga., he was the son of the late Asa and Carrie Belle Parramore NeSmith. On May 9, 1954 in Thomas Co., GA. he married Alice Mae Moncrief NeSmith who survives. He was a graduate of Pavo High School. Mr. NeSmith was a member of Dillon Road Presbyterian Church and was retired from the City of Thomasville Utilities Department. Other survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon Clay and Kim NeSmith of Myrtle Beach, SC., Dennis Scott and Suzanne NeSmith of Molena, GA., Mark Asa and Melany NeSmith of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jason Mark & Meridith NeSmith, Carrie Allison NeSmith, Matthew Scott NeSmith, Andrew Dennis NeSmith and Clayton Cole NeSmith and brother, James R. NeSmith of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert NeSmith, Hulen NeSmith and a sister, Faye Moncrief. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Tuesday.
