Vernon L. Mccollum

A memorial services for Vernon L. McCollum, 62, of Coolidge,Ga., will be at 2:00PM, Sunday, June 23, 2002 at New Covenant Church in Moultrie, GA. Pastor Omar Hancock will officiate. Mr. McCollum passed away Thursday, June 20, 2002 at his home after an extended illness. Born July 24, 1939 in Berea, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John McCollum and Ruth Gadd Adams of Coolidge who survives. He was married to Myra Nichols McCollum of Coolidge who survives. He was a former employee of Mactavish Furniture. Other survivors include son, Jonathan Butts and wife Peggy, daughter Lori Bozeman and partner Robert Collier of Coolidge, sons, Yul McCollum and wife Wanda, Roy McCollum and wife Heraldina, daughters, Shiela McCollum and partner Dale Johnson and daughter Nancy Collins all of Kentucky, a sister, Dorothy Brewer of Fla., sister Debbie Naylor, brothers Johnnie Lee McCollum and John James McCollum of Kentucky, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
