Services for Violet Ruth Rider Whiteman, 88 of Thomasville are pending at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cairo. Richard Orr will officiate. Mrs. Whiteman passed away December 16, 2010 at Camilla Gardens. Born April 8, 1922 in East Brady, Penn; she was the daughter of the late James Rider and Mary Redick Rider. On June 3, 1943 in Baltimore MD, she married Russell Whiteman who preceded her in death in 1996. Survivors include daughter, Diana Best of Cairo; grandchildren, Darlene Hoffman and husband Richard, Chris Lyons and husband Dan and Scott Best and wife Rebecca; 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
