Virginia Cleo Calhoun Simpson

Ms. Virginia Simpson of Monticello died Friday, July 26, 2002 at Pinewood Nursing Home in Whigham, Ga. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 28, 2002 Gravside at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 4:00PM. The Rev. morris Nichols will officiate. She was married to Huey Ellis Calhoun who preceded her in death and also to Cecil B. Simpson who preceded her in death. Born on December 12, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Howard Sumner and Louise Lane. She was a homemaker and a member of the Monticello Church of God. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Joyce and W. Jarrell Brumbley of Auburn, Ga; sons, James Ellis Calhoun of Statesboro, Ga; Jackie Howard Calhoun of Lamont, Fl and a son and daughter-in-law, Cleveland Arthur and Becky Calhoun of Creola, AL; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Louise and William Lee Rudd of Five Points, Al and a son and daughter-in-law, Huey Carlton and Tammy Calhoun of Donaldsonville. Ms. Simpson is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel from 7-9PM Saturday.
