Walter Ernest Watson

Walter (Walt) Ernest Watson, 93, born in Childress, Texas, peacefully passed away at home in Southern Pines Senior Living on January 06, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol M Watson, his sister, Mary Jo Riggs of Amarillo, Texas and his daughter, Kathleen L Tager, and granddaughters, Maryam Mosharraf, Sara Tager and Kimia Naderi and five great-grandchildren, all of Austin, Texas and granddaughters Emily and Blair Watson of Abingdon, Va. His son, Bret M Watson passed away in 2018. Walt was a veteran of the US Navy where he proudly served his country for 27 years. Walt played the bass fiddle for a number of years, both in Tennessee and Georgia at various restaurants, Sr. Citizens Homes and retirement homes. No services are planned at this time.
