Wanda M Fielding, 91, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2024. Born on June 28, 1932, in Texas, she was the daughter of the late Grace Smith and John D Martin. Wanda was an adored mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a skilled beautician.
In 1962, Wanda married the love of her life, Reciel Fielding, who preceded her in death. Together, they created a beautiful family and shared many cherished memories. Wanda was a devoted mother to her children, including her sons Eric Champion of Thomasville, Martin Champion of Ochlocknee, James Champion (Heidi) of Melbourne, Fl., Brian Fielding (Angela) of Ochlocknee, Tony Champion (Heather) of Ochlocknee, and daughter Susan Hayes (Dewayne) of Thomasville.
Wanda was also a loving grandmother to Heath Champion, Matthew Champion, Michael Champion, Heather Davis, Kristen Champion, Stephen Champion, William Champion, Reese Champion, Taylor Champion, Kiersten Hayes, and Ashlynn Hayes. Additionally, she was blessed with ten great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, who brought immense joy and love into her life.
Wanda is also survived by sisters Lettie L Sloan and Linda J Lee. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, her sons Bruce and Andrew Champion, and her siblings John R, Royce F, Darwin A, Acie N, and Maxell D Martin, as well as sister Jimmie J Briley.
Visitation will be held on February 9, 2024, at the Allen & Allen Funeral Home from 6:00 - 7:00 pm, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects. A graveside service will be held at the Ochlocknee City Cemetery on February 10, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Reverend Dennis Norman.
