Warren Herbert Rehberg, Sr., 90, of Boston, Ga. passed away on February 8, 2014. He was born in Coolidge, Ga. on May 24, 1923, to Herbert and Kittie Murphy Rehberg. Mr. Rehberg, lovingly called “PaPa”, “W.H.” or “Uncle Dub” to most, served in the United States Army during World War II, stationed in the Philippines. Upon returning from war, he met Therodocia Monteen Dukes, who became his wife on May 8, 1948. He worked as a machinist for Coats and Clark Thread Mill for 38 years until his retirement in 1985. Following retirement, Mr. Rehberg owned and operated Rehberg’s Channel Catfish Farm in Boston, Ga. He loved his farm in Thomas County and enjoyed time spent fishing, farming, and making pecan pies. He was a Christian and a member of Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church. Survivors include his son, Woody (Vicky) Rehberg of Nahunta; and daughters, Marianne (Dr. James M. Lewis Jr.) Lewis of Boston, and Kittie (Jim) Vossen of Boston. Grandchildren Jennifer (David) Stephens, Benjamin (Charis) Lirette, Jamie (Tyler) Hart, Jarrod (Erin) Lewis, Nicholas Rehberg, Nathaniel Rehberg, Jodie (Steven) Hilson, Jennifer (Chad) Scruggs, and Jill O’Quinn; and Great Grandchildren Jordan Cospelich, Destiny Stephens, Ashley Stephens, Caitlin Stephens, Trinity Stephens, Chloe Stephens, Parker Lirette, Jadon Lirette, Clayton Lirette, Wesleyan Hart, Evie Hart, Whitley Hart, Addilynn Lewis, Julia Hilson, Jacob Hilson, Luke Hilson, Simon Hilson, Molly Scruggs, Madelyn Scruggs, Sophie Scruggs, Griffin O’Quinn, Patrick O’Quinn, and Tucker O’Quinn; sisters Helen (Todd) Clemmons and Alice Morris; and many special and loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Rehberg was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Kittie Rehberg; his wife, Therodocia Monteen Dukes; his son, Michael Dukes Rehberg; brothers Harvey Rehberg, Willie Rehberg, Rudolph Rehberg; and his sister, Zadie Marcaurelle. Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 12, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Allen and Allen Funeral Home in Thomasville. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 P.M. with Jim Lewis officiating.
