Whitney Leigh Hinds

July 9, 1987 — March 16, 2024

Whitney Leigh Palmer-Hinds, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, departed from this world on March 16th, 2024, at the age of 36. Her passing occurred at Archbold Memorial Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born in Dothan, Alabama, Whitney was raised in Thomasville, Georgia, where she touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness. Whitney's vibrant spirit and dedication were evident throughout her life's journey. More recently Whitney was a bus driver for Thomas County School System. Many in the community knew her as a Master Cosmetologist, a profession she embraced with passion and skill. Her talents shone brightly, particularly in her ability to create stunning hair masterpieces, a craft she joyfully shared with her daughter on a weekly basis. Colleagues admired her signature inverted bob, stating that it was "unmatched". Graduating from Southern Regional Tech in Thomasville with her cosmetology license, Whitney's educational journey also included being one of the first students at Bishop Hall Charter School. This led her to embark on numerous hiking trips and explorations across different states, creating cherished memories along the way. She was proud to be not only on the Softball team with her sister Courtney but as a pitcher and catcher duo. Whitney's love extended beyond her professional and personal pursuits to encompass her family and furry friends. As the proud wife of Robert Hinds, she devoted 11 years to building a beautiful life together and raising their two children, John and Ryleigh. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she embraced her role as a mother and aunt with boundless affection. An avid animal lover, Whitney's compassion knew no bounds, welcoming them into her home with open arms. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of both humans and animals alike, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. She loved all animals from her guinea pigs, birds, to her cats, all the way up to her dogs. Whitney will be dearly missed by her husband, Robert Hinds, her children, John and Ryleigh, her sister Courtney Palmer-Loucks, her brother Zach Penn, and a host of relatives, friends, and colleagues whose lives she enriched with her presence. Whitney was the older sister to Courtney Palmer-Loucks and Zach Penn. She prided herself in being their sibling with her protective nature. A celebration of Whitney's life will take place at the Allen and Allen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on March 20th from 5 pm to 7 pm, with her funeral service following in the chapel on March 21st at 11 am.
