Funeral service for Whitney Parker will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Big Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Kerry Walsh officiating. Pallbeares will be Dustin Anderson, Johnny Phillips, Jackson Rackley, Bo Cone, Lee Barnes, and Mario Hill. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7pm at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Whitney Lauren Parker passed away on June 11, 2022, after a rare illness at Emory University Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on November 20, 1985, in Thomasville. She was a Thomas County Central High School graduate. Whitney enjoyed going to the beach, camping and spending time in the outdoors with her dad, and was a huge Florida Gators fan. Survivors include her mother Denise House Curles; father Ashley (Beth Sangster) Parker; grandmothers Shirley House and Jo Murphy; aunts Amanda Parrish, Teresa (Steve) Hufstetler, Kathy (Lynn) Lasseter, Phyllis (Dennis) Gantt, and Renee (Robert) Donavon; uncles Chris (Lisa) Powell, Randy (Judy) House, Robbie House, Mike (Amy) House, and Eric (Amy) House; and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by grandfathers David Murphy and George House, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be given to St. Jude’s Children Hospital research for aplastic anemia (
