Wilbur N. Jones

Services for Wilbur N. Jones, 86 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Jones passed away June 27, 2023 at Archbold Hospital. Born June 3, 1937 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Elton Jones & Jeannette NeSmith Jones. He is survived by his wife of 65 ½ years, Betty Davis Jones. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Christian faith. He was vice president of Golden Brothers Company and was a former member & officer of the Thomasville Exchange Club. He loved coaching youth sports and playing adult softball. He especially loved spending time with his family above all. Other survivors include his children, Jeff Jones and wife Deena of Dixie and Patrick Jones and wife Samantha of Thomasville; daughter-in-law, Vickie Jones of Centerville, Ala; grandchildren, Clay & Ariel Jones, Ben & Alexandra Jones, Hayden Jones and Kaitlyn & Ben Palmer; brothers, Gene Jones of LaGrange and Doyle Jones of Pelham. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Steve Jones. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 ( www.stjude.org/donate ). The family will receive friends, Friday. June 30, 2023 10 - 11 am, before the service at the funeral home
