Willa Mae Palmer Nesmith

Services for Willa Mae Palmer NeSmith, 77 of Thomasville will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 24 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tom Jacobs will officiate and a private interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons, Griffin Harper, Jacob Harper, Jon Ellis NeSmith, Jackson NeSmith, Matthew NeSmith and great nephew Garrett Moore. Ms. NeSmith passed away November 22, 2013 at Camellia Gardens where she was loved, cared for and made many friends. Born November 25, 1935 in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Palmer, Sr and Lola Mae Bond Palmer. She worked for Watkins Motor Lines prior to becoming a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her children, Krista Harper and husband Hal of Tifton, Mark NeSmith and wife Allison and Payton NeSmith and wife Betty Ann all of Boston; grandchildren, Sarah Harper, Griffin Harper, Jacob Harper, Jon Ellis NeSmith, Jackson NeSmith, Jessica NeSmith, Matthew NeSmith and Palmer NeSmith; sister, Betty Jean Shackleford of Ochlocknee and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Gordon Palmer Jr. and Bennie Leon Palmer; sisters, Eva Nell Checco and Gwen Palmer. Donations may be made to Camellia Gardens, __________, Thomasville, Ga 31792. The family will receive friends 2-3 pm Sunday before the service.
