William A. Bailey

Services for William A. Bailey of Metcalf, GA are at 2:00PM on Friday, November 25, 2005 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Charles Parker will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Bailey died November 21, in Gainesville, FL. Born Oct. 30, 1923 in Snow Camp, North Carolina he was the son of the late Thomas Dewey and Viola M. Moon. On November 4, 1943 in Ft. Pierce, Fl he married Omigene D. Thorpe who survives. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a retired member of the Teamsters Union after 20 years. Other survivor include daughter, Sheila I. Marshall of Metcalf, sister, Carolyn Brumley of Vero Beach, FL; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A son, Billy G. Bailey, preceded him in death.
