William “Bill” Edward Dixon Jr. died Wednesday September 1, 2021 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.
Bill was born October 8, 1969 in Elkhart, Indiana to Janice Davidson-Dixon and the late William Edward Dixon Sr. While Bill was still very young, he moved with his family to Washburn, Illinois. After moving to Central Illinois, Bill found his lifelong hobby of hunting and fishing. After he married, he found the love of the sea even though he was a land dweller.
Bill spent over 30 years in the manufacturing industry and after retiring from Caterpillar in 2020 moved with his wife and children to Ochlocknee, Georgia. Always the family man, Bill was appreciated for his big heart and generous sense of humor. To those who knew him as “Bunny” he was always ready to help a friend, share a story, or simply lend an ear.
The three adults of the household contracted Covid-19 Pneumonia. His mother-in-law was the first to lose her battle, urging Bill and his wife Kristina to seek medical assistance; both were hospitalized, Kristina was released, and after approximately three weeks of fighting, Bill lost his battle. He is survived by his son Zackery Dyme, daughter Mollianne Marie, mother Janice, sister Dawn, brother Daniel, and uncles Skeet and Brown.
