Graveside services for William (Bill) Moore, Jr., 91, formally of Thomasville, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Tennessee Street. Rev. Hugh Rockett will officiate. Mr. Moore passed away February 2, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in Port Orange, Florida. Born April 21, 1925 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, Bill was the son of the late William Moore, Sr. and Josie Wallace Moore. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie S. Moore and grandson, Greg Moore. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in WWII and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville until 2009. Bill owned the Sinclair Distributorship, in Thomasville, for many years before moving to Warner Robins to work for civil service at Robins Air Force Base, in charge of computer procurement. He is survived by his son, Gene Moore and wife Rosalind of Bluffton, SC; daughter, Cheryll Morey and husband Michael of Port Orange, FL; grandchildren, Donna Marchand of Bluffton, SC, Eric Morey and wife Elizabeth of Palmer, Alaska and Adrienne Kirby and husband Brian of Tampa, FL; great-grandchildren, Devann Marchand, Cassidy Marchand, Jackson Morey, Tucker Morey, Conor Kirby and Duncan Kirby. He was a gentle and loving family man with a great sense of humor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
