William C. Mitchell

Graveside services for William C. Mitchell, 85 of Five Forks will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Mitchell Family Cemetery at Five Forks. Mr. Mitchell passed away August 31, 2012 at Brooks County Hospital. Born February 3, 1927 at Five Forks, he was the son of the late Isaac Mitchell and Madie Wilford Mitchell. He was married to Wynelle Musselwhite Mitchell for 62 years, who survives. Mr. Mitchell was a veteran of the United States Army, he sold insurance for Independent Life for 30 years then owned and retired from Thomasville Discount Carpet in Thomasville. Other survivors include sisters and brothers, Bessie Mae Massey of Barwick, Franklin Mitchell and wife Jean, Frances Coker, all of Boston, Kathryn Anderson of Thomasville and numerous nieces and nephews.
